Nursery Rhyme...
Sticks and Stones May Break Your Bones...

September 27, 2006
Quote

The Best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest and air
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they’ll ease
Your will they’ll mend
And charge you not a shilling.

~Nursery rhyme quoted by Wayne Fields, What the River Knows

But that’s nothing compared to what carbonated soda can do to your bones!

I think one of the saddest facts about the average Americans diet, is their number one source of calories comes from soda pop. It’s a very serious problem – with severe consequences.

Little do they know – they’re actually drinking what I call Osteoporosis in a can. This includes ALL carbonated beverages, even plain carbonated water. It’s nothing short of liquid poison.

So if you’ve ever thought about cutting soda out of your diet to save your waist line the unnecessary calories. You’re going to really think twice about cracking open a pop after you see what it’s doing to your body on the inside:

1) The carbonation (carbon dioxide) in soda irritates the stomach by attacking your stomach lining.

2) Your stomach then fights this irritation by producing a natural antacid made from the calcium in your blood.

3) In order to replenish the calcium it used to calm your stomach your blood pulls calcium from the only place it can, your bones.

4) This problem is further magnified by the phosphoric acid contained in most soft drinks, which also brings down the store of calcium in your blood.

And over time this nutrient deficiency can result in a severe bone condition, Osteoporosis.

And It Just Keeps Getting Worse…

Now you throw all the sugar soda has in it into the equation, and you have a whole new laundry list of problems.

Because the sugar in soda is dissolved in liquid, it’s carried to the blood stream so fast it confuses your body into thinking there’s a sugar over load.  Which in turn signals your pancreas to work over time producing insulin to prevent nerve damage.

Your pancreas pumps out as much insulin as fast as it can to bring your blood sugar levels back in line. But this causes 2 very serious problems …

1) The massive jolt of insulin causes your body to produce less testosterone – and as men we need as much testosterone as we can get.

2) Over time the roller coaster ride of high blood sugar and massive insulin output can eventually make your body insulin resistant – resulting in type 2 Diabetes.

Now ask yourself is a soda really worth all this – wait don’t answer yet.

Last But Certainly Not Least…

The excess salt in soda draws the water out of your cells which increases dehydration. And even mild dehydration can slow down your metabolism and speed up the aging process.

So in my opinion one of the smartest choices you can make for your health is to replace any and all soda in your diet with pure water. If you’re a regular soda drinker once you get past the initial withdrawal phase you’ll notice an immediate and lasting difference.

And there’s really no excuse not to – your body and your waist line will thank you for it.

I know why your prostate pills aren’t working…

And I’ll give you a hint – it has nothing to do with the ingredients.  Go here and find out why you could be flushing your current prostate supplement right down the toilet:

What is Osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is a very serious health problem that affects about 28 million Americans. The word Osteoporosis literally means ‘porous bones” due to al the tiny little holes it causes in a healthy skeleton.

Osteoporosis occurs when your bones begin to lose some of their essential elements – namely calcium. Over time this nutrient deficiency causes bone mass to decrease resulting in weaker, more fragile bones.

In the most extreme cases any sudden movements, even a sneeze or a cough can cause a bone to break. Still want that cola?

Stay Healthy!
